I will be in London from the 5th to the 20th of September: as I need to raise some cash for some bike-related purchases, I am seriously considering bringing with me some vintage road stuff I have laying around, all depending of actual interest from prospective buyers.
Please note: genuine commitment to buy preferred as I would not like to take stuff back on my return trip.
No dibs: send me a PM before this Friday evening to confirm which item you are interested in purchasing and arrange payment and collection.
Collection cash in hand from N16 in the evenings. Alternative collection from Bloomsbury area during day time possible too.
More pictures of any item can be sent on request.
Here is what I have on offer:
**Campagnolo Super Record Aero Brake Levers: Immaculate NOS condition. The gum hoods are in excellent shape. I also have an extra set of white hoods that I can sell for an extra tenner 10/10 - 40 pounds. (Reserved for Lilolee)
Campagnolo Delta C-Record brakeset including levers: **They are well-used but in overall good condition. They are perfect in mechanical terms. There is some minor pitting due to road debris and a minor, hardly visible scuff in the anodized cover plates. Campagnolo shield well visible with very little fade. Arms are fine. Please note the pad holders are not the original ones. Pads will also need replacement. The levers are in relatively good condition with only some minor scuffs. There is a 1,5 mm rip on the top side of one of the hoods. The aero plugs at the top of the hoods have some scuffs too. I think Campoldy still carries spares for the hoods and the aero plugs. 7/10 - 80 pounds. (Reserved for Catboy1981)
2 X Regina America Superleggera hollow-pin chain 114 links: Silver plated. The perfect chain for that classic 80s racer restoration project. Please note that only four links are usuable, i.e. can be removed to shorten the chain length. NOS. Still wrapped and in original box. **10/10 - 20 pounds each. (Reserved for Skully)
Regina America Threaded 7 Speed Freewheel: **Relatively low gearing (12-13-14-15-16-18-20). NOS in original box. ISO thread. **10/10 - 25 pounds. (Reserved for Skully)
27.2 Campagnolo C-Record Aero seat post: **Used. There are some insertion marks and again some minor pitting in the aero section of the seatpost. It has been polished as I originally intended to use in a restauration project but finally managed to get hold of one in NOS condition. All these cosmetic blemishes can only be appreciated at close inspection. Length of seat post from rail clamp to bottom: 21cms. Minimum insert: 6.5cms. Usable insert length: 10cms. 7/10 - 40 pounds (Reserved for DMCzone)
**27.2 Campagnolo Chorus Aero seat post. **From the early 90s. Used but in excellent condition. Only some minor, hardly visible marks just couple of cms above minimum insert line. No Campagnolo shield just an engraved horizontal band on top of the non aero area where you can read- "brevetti internaz campagnolo". It can certainly be polished for that satisfying shiny finish. Length of seatpost from rail clamp to bottom: 20cms. Minimum insert: 6.5 cms. Usable insert length still showing engraved band: 8.5 cms. 8/10 - 25 pounds (Reserved for Skully)
**Campagnolo C-Record Crankset: **Used but in excellent condition. Original chainrings, extracting bolts and chainring bolts. 170mm length. 52-42 chainrings. 1st generation C-Record cranks with engraved Campagnolo shield. Very minor, hardly visible shoe rubbing in the right arm. Few, very minor scratches here and there as it can be expected in a used crankset. Few, minor scuffs at the bottom of both arms. Overall very good cosmetic condition for a used set. **8/10 - 130 pounds.
Sidi Road Shoes Euro size 43 from late 80s. **These pair of shoes have been lightly used and are still in top notch condition. Real leather not the new Lorica fabric. Few, minor scratches in the heels + plus some scuffs in the soles as you would expect in any used pair of bike shoes. I think they are compatible with most modern road clipless systems. They originally came fitted with Look cleats. I also have the original look white/red road clipless pedals from the same era. If there is any interest I can post pics and wil include them with the shoes at a negotiable price. **8/10 - 25 pounds.
Girvin ProFlex Stem: **100mm length. I think this is for 1 1/8" th threaded steerer as the quill has 1" diameter. For cantilever brakes. 25.4mm handlebar clamp. Still in original box. 10/10 - 20 pounds.
**2 x 3ttt Pro Titanium 1" Ahead Stem: **Tig welded Titanium stem. Two-bolts front opening. 100mm length. 72º angle. 155grs. From the early 90s. Polished finish with "burnt lettering" effect. Please note: only for 25.4mm handlebars. The clamp would not accept old-style 26.0mm diameter handlebars so the stem can only be used either with modern "anatomic" style road handlebars or with risers. In original box. **10/10 - 20 pounds each.
Look Titanium 1" Ahead Stem: **Tig welded Titanium stem. Weldings are much neater than in the 3ttt stem. 100mm length. From the early 90s. There is no info about stem angle but I would say it has a slightly negative angle of around 5º. Raw Titanium finish. No front opening just standard one-bolt clamp. Again, the clamp is designed for 25.4mm handlebars but due to different clamp system than the 3ttt above, I think it may be possible to fit a 26.0mm handlebar. Can check if anyone is interest in running that set-up. Feather weight at only 130grs. A truly gorgeous stem. In original box. **10/10 - 35 pounds.
2 x Cinelli Pinocchio 1" Quill Stem: **Tig welded Columbus Steel. 110 mm length. 73º angle. For 26.4mm handlebars. With the bolt clamp fully tightened, it gives an internal clamp diameter of 26.0mm so it might be possible to fit a 26.0mm handlebar without having to use a shim. Standard one-bolt clamp. 260 grs. Red anodized cap only for decorative purposes: you have to unscrew it to access the actual quill bolt. In original box 10/10 - 20 pounds each.
