i predict another referendum in the next government term.
Wouldn't bet on it, sadly
I don't think Rudd has sufficient leadership/vision to do it.
He is an ex diplomat, not a leader. -

Aussies? Yeah. They're pretty much all complete wankers. I wish they'd all fuck off home.

There'd be no hard workers left in London - the city would die.

paul hogan or merv hughes for prime minster..

You're not supposed to work hard in the City. You just buy and sell shares, drink expensive wine and let the rest of the country (the Polish) do the work.

Good - cause I don't. Don't get to buy or sell shares either, or wear a suit... wine I've got covered. The Polish? Not present or accounted for at my work place which means someone else must be doing it.

yes.. merv would get my vote if i could vote in an australian referendum, i don't know boonie..
as for londoners, most are lazy fuckers.. the city is full of east end barrow-boys from the thatcher era, then you have the etonians.. the elite class, most end up in politics or as business leaders, and pretty selfish work-shy bunch.. -

should be a new rule, must have a mustache like them, and have a personality to be an Australian PM.
And for females aspirants, they just need to have the same training program as a recent South African athlete. -
• #592
australia needs a strong candidate for PM, plus a cabinet of worldly experience, like cricket, rugby players and entertainment celebrities..
-
• #593
I feel I could trust a PM who partakes in mo-vember....

• #594
.. and working hard for australia not in the UK.. give each citizen two years maximum leave to see the world, then they must return to fulfil the australian industrial revolution, to make Republic Of Australia a major player.. not relying on UK or US, rather partnering with china for global market domination..
where my boddingtons gone

He is an ex diplomat, not a leader.ahh, but he loves (and is a genius at) fucking the liberals over, and that is a great issue to fuck malcolm turnbull royally (pardon the pun) on.
i reckon he'll start bringing it up during the next election campaign. he doesn't really have a mandate for a referendum yet.

i have many friends from australia, who worked with me in london over the years.. miss them all, loads.. one day i will fly out and spend some quality time in perth, brisbane, adelaide, sydney and my family in canberra and melbourne.. it will be one huge trip, fuck it i'll go to see the ashes too in 2011 and the rugby world cup in NZ.. must start saving..
-
• #597
we are a little bemused by the referendum in australia, surely this should have happened by now.. the commonwealth is pretty redundant, with some basic trade, employment, armed forces commitment.. in fact the next ashes should decide the outcome.. australia play for independence, that will get the public behind your team.. get merv swinging that ball again..

you've gotta understand we had a conservative government for 11 years with a PM who wanted to kill republicanism dead. people voted for him on economic issues. he sabotaged the last referendum and was never going to have another one. he's gone now, but it takes time to rebuild the political capital to launch another one.
it's inevitable, i wish it would hurry the fuck up, but it will take some time.
