• OK--despite a fair few no-shows (you were missed, guys!) we got a great group together. I even managed to remember all the names this time! A few people without forum names--James, Naomi, Georgia, Marn, Chris (who did promise to register on his iPhone on the train back, he, he), and Paul (sorry if you do have a forum name, Paul, you probably told me three times, but I'm afraid I can't remember!), but also ehren_fried_chicken, owenreed, bryce lyall, siri, slopster, kyungsoo, middleofnowhere, Deluka, serk, lyes888, mc_nebula, fred, wools, and Stix. And, of course, the chase after us by Spins and PinkGottiMobbs!

Where were kx.001 and his dad? :( ;)

    All made it to Brighton!

This was a fairly eventful ride, not all events positive--I can't be bothered to post about Gitwack right now, but an initially chilly and then increasingly beautiful and warming sunrise was had by all on top of Ditchling Beacon, which hopefully rewarded the effort of getting up it. Fairly perfect timing as far as sunrise spectating was concerned. A lovely descent into Brighton in glorious sunshine that got clouded over again after about an hour. Usefully, all our political awareness experienced an increase by a considerable factor ahead of a very nice breakfast at the excellent Izzy Cafe.

Thanks to all for coming along, it was such a nice group!

This was the last overnight ride to Brighton that I'll organise this year. There will be one more for the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run on the 1st of November, but that'll be more a case of not sticking together and riding down with the veteran cars!
