SE Lager: 21.5lb. Not a lightweight! But in fact the weight of the bike doesn't really have much to do with it. Hold tight and be in charge. Some places, and Tower Bridge would be one such, really funnel the wind and you have to be ready for it.
However the ONLY time I've ever been blown off a bike was standing still at a country junction in a gale when a huge truck went past. I couldn't get my feet out in time and just fell over, to the great amusement of the driver behind. So although it feels a bit hairy, you're unlikely to get blown over when going along.

Perpetual problem with SE Lagers, they are very susceptible to the wind. Best thing to do really is add another wheel on the lee side to prevent you from over tipping. Overcompensation may also be a problem, so put on the other side as well. They don't need to be big wheels, four or five inches in diameter should suffice.

You great big baby, use some common-sense and hold on to your handle-bars.
Maybe do some push-up if your arms are so weak. -

Hi,
I've got a somewhat lightweight bike (SE Lager),
and I'm crossing Tower Bridge everyday,
and every few weeks, I'm not far from falling because of wind gusts.
I've never fell because of this, but I had a few close calls. Is there any techniques to avoid this issue ?
Shall I try to bend over my bike to put more weight on the front wheel, as it's usually the front wheel that is moving the most because of the wind ?Thanks!

I ride Tower Bridge with disc wheels twice a day (during school months) and, yes ccan be a bit sketchy, but never as bad to star a thread asking for techniques. -

When Rik breaks wind it stays broke.

When Rik tries to ride to wests, his wheels speed the planet up meaning that everyone gets more drinking time.
