how can they be any better made or stronger than any decent set, made by park or draper or even snap-on? let's just come back to planet earth here.
people paying £60 for these need to have a word with themselves...

I don't know if they're better made or stronger than a decent set (note the word 'average'). Anyway, I was pre-empting the cries from people who have already paid their money and made their choice.

I was just throwing an air question, you know. in exasperation on the disgusting consumerism

I'm with you on that. I might just get a set from Evans and paint them pretty colours. I might sell the proposition to Dragon's Den.

I got a set of draper ones with both sorts in and sizes in from wafer thin to 12mm for about £12 from a local tool shop. You need some funny sizes to work on old campag stuff

i have a set of wera ones - clas ohlson in croydon sells them only £12 or something - not work spending all that money - are they really gonna be that much better than wera?

they are the epitome of vanity purchasing taken to the extreme
a £9.99 set of hex keys that are anodized pretty colours for £60
£50 is an awful lot to pay to be reminded how much of a stupid gullible consumer you are.
give me £10 and i'll call you a stupid impressionable prick, with the £40 you save you can buy a decent chainwhip, a proper pedal spanner and a decent set of hex keys. -

i don't think you have the full set.
you definately have a screw loose. -

full set here, long 20 squids
I've got a set of WERA like those the slightly concave flats really help grip the bolt. Have yet to strip a allen bolt with them (used to all the bloody time). One of my better tool purchases.

if we get enough interest.you're right. there's no shame in spending time organising and motivating people so that you can pay 200% instead of 600% of what it's actually worth.

I would love a set of these and although I know they're probably very well made and stronger than your average, I can't help but this that they're popular purely because they've got colours on them.
If they were standard black I wouldn't even consider spending that much on a set.
