Really want to put my name down for one of these but Ive not idea what size to get? is the 'small bill' smaller than the marlon (which to me looks massive?).
-
• #708
I'm not actually taking any new orders at the moment....too many on the books.
Once the list is a bit shorter i'll start accepting orders again.BMX Kid, think you'll have a wait, even to get on the list. But for info, the small Bill is the same size as the Archie, just with fewer pockets (large Bill is same size as the Theo).
-
• #709
Yeah its a longggggg list.

• #710
Or you could do like James said before he edited and 'Don't hold your breath'.
....cos you'll need it to whinge like a bitch when you have to wait longer than you're happy with when i can't get the bag made quickly enough due to waiting 6 weeks to get the fabric and then having to look after my kids for two weeks leaving me unable to work.
As i said before, i'm no longer taking any new orders until the current list is smaller...as it's hard enough to keep up as it is, especially when people are on your back left, right and centre.
Once i'm ready to take more orders i'll let people know.
Yeah I edited it because I thought it was a bit of a childish remark, and I was annoyed.
What I whinged about was being ignored, and getting no response to my phone communication or messages sent on here for over a week after you telling me that materials had turned up but you weren't there to sign for them.
I respect that you were busy, but if you would have told me that, or just said its going to be another week or two that would have been good enough for me, instead you just completely ignored me, and you were so busy it seems that you couldn't respond to me, but found time to chime in on the forum with over 50 posts in the last week, including responses to some of my posts on here, yet direct contact was too much to ask eh?.....
Now can we go back to behaving like grown-ups. -
• #711
That was longer than a few weeks ago, and I said thank you, even offered you money, i'm not ungrateful or trying to be arsey Scott, I just didn't appreciate being called a whinging bitch, and thats not the first time you've had a direct or indirect dig at me on here.
I also gave you an £80 Inzer powerlifting belt, cos I thought it might help with your back issues at the time, yes I know it didn't, and it wasn't comfortable for long periods of time or whatever, but I was trying to do something helpful, so please stop making me out to be some ungrateful whinging arsehole.
I know you've been messed around by your supplier, but when you initially said 1-2 weeks, I thought ok maybe 3 weeks at the most, now up to around 4 weeks (or not far off I think), as I said the wait is not a problem, I don't mind that, what I whinged about was being ignored, i'm sure you would do the same if your supplier was ignoring you, so there's no need for the personal insults thanks. -

Scott, it sounds like you're struggling and i sympathise.
Probably not the best time to comment, but My 2p:
I think you should employ someone to help. I know it sounds daft to increase your costs considering your current situation, but it sounds like you need an extra pair of hands (part-time) if you ever want the business to prosper. They can help with logistics, deliveries etc leaving you to concentrate on getting bags finished. The demand for your products is clear for all to see, and it would be even greater if your organisation could improve.
I hope you can make the business work, and ease the burdens you mention.

On a slightly separate note - I love my Ninja - I used it as a carry bag when I was on the Euro Road trip, and managed to get a fuck load in it, including 2 books, cameras etc. I found it also holds my SLR rather well and the pump holder doubles for a small tripod holder. I've been using it in the bag way rather than the hip bag way and it is awesome. The long flap and the adjustable clip mean you can stuff loads in and still close it, and the stabliser strap means it doesn't swing round - in fact I hardly knew it was there. Perfect for a day ride when you want to carry things like money, phone, camera and tools/tube but don't want a big bag and a sweaty back.
Nice one Scott.

Yeah i've wanted a Ninja for a while, the new design looks awesome, can't wait to get one and my bag :)

scott, there must be something wrong with that 7k business rates bill. I run a small business as well, similar size premises as yours, we have a small business discount (half of the normal rate) and pay around 1k per year. That discount would apply to you as well, I am sure. From my experience you can't owe them any more than 1 years rates anyway as they take you to court. You might have done already but maybe speak to the council again. Sounds too much to me, you are not trading as a business for 7 or 8 years yet are you? Anyway, just trying to be helpful.

That's two years worth...it's taken 14 months for them to value the property...they base it on the size of the space amongst other things and it's almost 2000sq ft...they can only apply the relief to the current years rates not the first year...and the amount of relief varies...it's not instantly 50% for everyone.
I've been on the phone and filled in all the forms....there are some people in my building with almost £10,000 bills.Scott, I don't think thats true actually. We didn't pay the business rates for the first year neither and got the reduction afterwards. It still applied to the first year we paid late. I would just speak to them again. Also you are not renting the whole 2000sq yourself. Your actual work space is not that big. So I guess you would have to share the rates with the others. Anyway, from my experience it really helps to talk to this people, again and again if necessary. Decisions seem to be a bit random there sometimes. It just sounds really wrong to me that you have such a large bill on your plate.

Your ninja is ready, the Theo will be done by the end of the weekend...Flu has properly fucked up my week.
@Clefty....i'll be on yours real soon at long last.
Cheers Scott, is it cool if I pick the whole lot up on Sunday? Just give me a shout when its ready, and let me know if you want me to confirm the colour scheme, I know your memory is probably quite good, but just incase?
Get well soon :) -

In all honesty mate, you should fuck off. You have no idea of the specific details and it would serve you well to remember that.
p.s.
Any news on the Theo?
