Given the gear you've got, I'm looking forward to some stunning stills and action shots of this camera.

Hello Dick, that's quite a gauntlet ! Anyway a few samples from my hard drive to show what she/he/it (who knows what gender a camera is) is capable of.

what condition is it in?

Kabelnicke,
I've got two and am selling one. They are both in very good condition but one has a rub mark from a lens strap with a heavy lens on it that has rubbed through to the metal just next to the command dial on the top left. I quite like the look of it actually ( a bit terminator) and given that it is cosmetically less attractive to buyers I plan to sell the other one.

The newer one is 8800, I've lent the older one to a friend who I'll get to check that and get back to you with a number.

Thanks for the interest; I'd prefer to sell the camera with grip.
cheers

How many lens activations dude?
Just got the figure for the other D200 - 11045 shutter actuations
I have had this for 3 years and was planning to offer as a swap for a track frame & bits hence posting on here BUT it looks like I am going away for the winter and I don't need a track frame now and am currently running another D200 & D300 so this has to go.
I have box, charger, battery, Nikon software on cd, and manual.
Until the D300 came out, this was Nikon's top of the range DX camera body and has the usual top end rugged build - not quite as sturdy as the F3 & F4 but close. I've used this with a range of Nikon glass from current autofocus to older AI/AIS lenses and it is great camera, capable of stunning professional results unless of course you are photographically challenged in which case nothing not even this camera will help. It won't make your sexy bits bigger or more shapely either, I'm afraid.
Technical specs are tedious beyond belief to read but I 'm happy to email them across to anyone that is interested. The fact that you can attach any Nikon lens from 1959 onwards to this is a huge bonus if you have old lenses lying around or an eye for bargains on ebay. With the battery pack you can shoot at 8 frames a second or so and have a vertical shutter release button. The ergonomics are great better than the D300 in my view and definitely a more comfortable camera to hold than the F4S & F3. I bought this as a backup second body and have used it relatively little so it is in good shape.
I'm looking for £500 and will post pictures up in due course as I'm not at my desk right now.
