I nod off all the time - mid sentence, sometimes. Particularly if there has been red wine involved earlier. And then I'm asleep like a stone - there's just no waking me.
But I never fall asleep cycling. All that adrenaline seems to keep me well dusted. But then again, I don't do lengthy rides, twenty or thirty miles is my max, so pretty much everywhere I go is done at a sprint, never end up getting into the zone and just pedalling steadily.
