Listen up, if you have to ask these kinds of questions, maybe you are not cut out for this kind of ride (?), we all know it is not going to easy, some people might not make it all the way to the finish, a few people will have their bikes fail on them, a few will have their bikes stolen from underneath them, Slaytanic will crash and break his collar bone while trying to text, eat, drink and steer his bike at the same time and there may well be a few bike based sexual attacks, this is all standard stuff.
If you are having doubts about gears and inner tubes than maybe this is not the ride for you - maybe you are better off sitting at home reading so called 'books'.
