Sorry about your news, if you don't mind me asking how was it locked?
You can ask private businesses to supply you with CCTV footage, under freedom of information act. They will charge you for the privilege, about a tenner. Worth a shot, because the Police will do bugger all about it as "it's only a bike".

You're asking people to let you know if we see a black factory standard hybrid in Cambridge!? Probably wasn't worth you cheating your way through the 3 post rule to start this thread...
TILMF, UTFS & HTFU.
Good day.

Thanks for the most useful reply soul, what a kind chap you are, I found this great help!!!!! (why bother with you post at all)
I know it is a long shot, but better me putting this up here than not at all, as some good may come of it.

It is a helpful post and with regards to why post at all; the same could be said for your post!
You cheated your way through the 3 post rule to post a thread about a bike which is not unique in any way being stolen in a city full of similar / identical bikes. Not only that but there is already a specific stolen bikes thread availble for you to post in as soon as you join. Why not post there? https://www.londonfgss.com/thread123-49.html#post880178. This thread helps the whole community as you can post your lock type / how it was locked so people can learn from it and it also gets the maximum visability for people on the forum (the thread has been viewed nearly 87,000 times to your threads 89)
There is a very helpful post in the new members thread (i joined before the new member rules but i think you get an email about it as well) which lists the do's and dont's of the forum and tries to help you. If you failed to read it, that is your problem.
Thanks. :)

Easy there kid!!!! Ok I admit i was a little naughty, rather that, than type in some bull on somebody else's post (Oh nice bike, love the color!!) apologies for that.
Now your second post is factual, and I can get some use out of it, so thanks. I posted it here as I thought (obviously wrongly) that it was regional.
All I am trying to do is cover all bases as fast as I can, in the quickest amount of time, just in case it is spotted, and also to let other people know that is a hot spot.

ffs Soul, stop taking shots at him, this is "stolen in Cambridge" section, nothing to do with you brah*
it's a notice out to people living over here to look out for this bike not London.
- if you have any problems, say it in the "do you want a moderator on the cambridge sub-forum" thread.
@akseni, do you have any pictures of the bike?

Not taking shots. Clearly pointing out the failings in his plan to retrieve the bike. Hopefully he had insurance.
As for posting in the Cambridge thread; i have lived in around Cambridge for about 2 years more than you've been alive. Think that qualifies me ;). In fact i'll be there from Saturday for a week if you want to say hi.

cool, but just doesn't make sense why he would post the bike in "stolen bikes" thread on the main forum.
if you're around, come down to one of our Thursday rides at the Maypole pub (6.30pm), im sure everyone we'll be happy to meet you dude.

That's the one by park street car park? Can't remember the last time i went in there; I worked at the grad (and staples!) just down the road for about 3 years.
Might be able to pop down. Will have to see what's going on.

I'm more annoyed that he dodged the post limit to start a new thread instead of UTFS and posting in the stolen. Rules is rules.

Can't believe how bitchy this forum is becoming. Just a simple attempt by someone to get their stolen bike back has turned into an 'I've been in Cambridge longer than you have' battle. WTF. Just get over youself and let the man get on with his search for his stolen bike. If anyone on here can help, I'm sure they will. Good Luck Askeni .
Mairn fairfax 2009 black factory standard. Stolen off bike racks on kings parade next to barclays and great st marys church, on Saturday at around midday. If anybody sees it give me a heads up. Many thanks. Cops say they will look on CCTV but I won't hold my breath.
