I'm in the process of building my first ss bike
I'm using a 2007 Specialized Allez for frame, forks (carbon), head seat, bb and crank
I've stripped it of all cables, derailleur etc... put a riser on, taken the small chainring off, re attached large chain ring (53t) with smaller bolts.
Its all looking quite good, I need to attack the rear wheel (hub and groupset etc..)
Is it just a case of taking of the goupset and fitting a ss cog ont the hub ???
I have Mavic Aksiums (all stock) i'm looking to use if its that simple or is it worth getting a new wheelset, rear hub etc..??
Your advice will be truely appreciated and once i'm up and running I'm willing to buy beers for knowledge at a ride/meet up
