will not cost that much to fix. a friend had her shutter replaced on a 5d and it was less than £200.

Curses! Thanks anyway.
I have a Canon 5D body which is in excellent cosmetic condition, extremely well looked after with a clean sensor BUT the screen is a bit dicky, it sometimes displays a 'posterized' image (the files are fine). It's obviously just a loose cable or something cause giving it a light push gets it to display properly again. I'd assumed that this rendered it worthless so sold the rest of my gear ( http://www.londonfgss.com/thread22528.html ) and didn't bother trying too hard to sell the body.
Having looked on eBay I found that a body that didn't work AT ALL sold for over £500 so would anyone here be interested? I'm sure that you could replace the screen yourself in the future if you really needed to but it really isn't bad enough to bother at present.
I also still have these up for grabs:
Shoot with questions :-)
