Only just got back in after a very slow ride home. I was really sorry to hear about Simon. Best wishes to him! That was a lovely ride and it shouldn't have happened to anyone. Big thanks to John for organising!
Is that the first recorded instance of police coming across the OB shirt?

Yeah, Mr baldy ex-SAS touring bike carradice saddle bag, decked someone as we were riding passed earlier in the evening. Poor guy was out cold.
lfgss justice squad intervened.... with vague threats and saddle bag tugging

he came back in a lil later and said he wanted to buy you guys a round so gave me 20 quid to buy any one who was involved a drink. So lets sort this out when can he buy you a round?Ps guy who got knocked out really was asking for it was yelling at every one and smashing glasses he was DICK HEAD

Best bridges ride so far - and first one I managed to not miss the millennium bridge. Highlights were caning it through the alleyways of Wandsworth to catch up after a puncture stop and the hammersmith to kew breakaway peloton

I was thinking about riding over to the finish in Kew.. but you won't get there until 2am.. and the pubs are shut..so..
BTW: This site is asking for a password.
Well it would have shown it, even without a password, but I had a technology fail, didn't charge my phone.
Anyway, amazing ride, just there was great, but then burning it back to Shoreditch with Hillbilly, Ray et al ending with drinks and a bagel was the perfect end to the evening.

Oooh! Free beer. Yes!
I'll speak to the guys and see what the concensus is.
Perhaps we can sort something out for thurs when wel're at west beers at the ship.
Cheers for riding the Abandoned extra bike up to where the rest of the group was.
I hope the rest if your shift was a little less eventful! -

Last night was just too slow with too many stops for me. Pealed off after the prince albert. Comes with the territory of having so many riders I guess.
And I was getting very fed up with riders who got confused between robot wars and a ride. Taking stupid risks riding between others where there was no room and cutting in without checking over their shoulders. To my mind there was a disappointingly large amount of bad riding going on last night.
All in all not a bad ride, but I can't say I really enjoyed that much. The last one was much better.

It did work for a bit.. 5 bridges or so and then stopped.

Just got in. Too many stops for me but I suppose that comes with the territory when there's so many people
Best bit was Wandsworth Bridge onwards with the renegade, breakaway crew - about 10 of usSo I finally get to put a face to the internet hard man. Well what can I say other than your a fat, ugly, bald cunt, and you didn't fall through with any of your threats. Mate that image you try and portray does not suit you at all. Any time your ready buddy, let me know. Nice riser bars on that concept by the way WAC. Oh yeah don't forget to tell the missus Big Deano sends his love, you fucking middle aged forum hipster, grow up biatch.
and the rest of you lot were eating my dust all night.

Given the Bridges rides tend to average <10kph.. that's not exactly a boast.

i don't remember seeing a man in a mink coat on a spokked up langster at the front. but then, given the dust cloud that this ride took place in, i suppose it's possible.

What a great ride - especially the breakaway group and the run from hammersmith to kew - that was absolute quality, thanks fellas.
classic image of the night: Nelson Mandela and his new bike :)

Bit too much stopping I agree but still, great night! I was way hyped on it! Looking back over the blinking lights riding through the parky area nearer the last couple bridges was great! Little floaty fairy lights weaving through the darkness... Also the posh old bag on the milennium bridge telling everyone off- good luck! Sprint section up to hammersmith bridge- yes please!
When are flicks going up?

[/complaining cunt face rant]that's to be expected when most cyclists have no idea how to ride in a group, fixie skidders are even worse as they seem to more prone to random direction changes. maybe you would be better off on a proper road ride, the stop start nature of city riding and riders with different agendas and some dubious ideas of what constitutes safe riding is always going to mean accidents are more likely to happen.
