• I have to admit I am constantly posting on local forums without realizing it, because I live in London and I go to "posts" to see new posts.
I'm learning my lesson, but not for slightly uppity "local post for local people" sorts.

lest we forget the whole reason the sub-forums exist is because london folk got fed up with non-london posts in 'their local area'. so your comment is a bit off the mark. give us a bit of leeway?

please velocio, can we go back to having to register with the specific forum before you are able to post in them. this was the story a few months back, and everything was peachy. i am unsure of why this changed (i posted a thread posing the question in our sub forum), but since it changed our threads have been littered with the sarcasm we really don't like.

as folk have already said, we are a very close knit community (i am not doubting that london lot are any different). the forum is a neutral ground for us before we meet up to do our various activities. we get enough bother in real life from university students, knife wielding pensioners and old age chavs, without having to deal with the turmoil of sarcastic throw away comments from people we don't even know!! some of us have started to lose sleep over some comments.

if i was moderator, i would re-enforce the 'register to post', maintain our high standards of posted information, and defend our right to our little piece of internet space, all the while keeping the crack fox at bay.
