Do you not think you should have been a bit more careful going around a blind bend?

Surely you realise that unexpected things happen on the road so you should take more care if you can't see what''s ahead of you?

If it was a ped crossing the road as you were going around the corner rather thn a taxi in your way, would you still be calling them a cunt or would you have accepted responsibility of being a cunt yourself?
I know the road pretty well, there's plenty of space of stop after the bend and before the crossing. It just never occurred to me that someone would stop there. Lesson = never underestimate the stupidity of the blue badge brigade. I also didn't help myself by going flat out pretty close to the back of other traffic. Definitely my fault I hit those guys, and I feel bad, I'm so pissed off at myself for such a schoolboy error. It's frustrating though, cos I've broken my bike, hurt myself, and if the taxi hadnt stopped on double reds, it wouldn't have happened.

As for my brake fail, I have those charge plug bullhorn bars, a bar end lever, I wasn't covering it, and by the time I grabbed it, that was it. That's life I guess. I might be less pissed off tomorrow when I buy a new frame and forks.
