Personal psi / tyre pressure choices

I spent a year only pumping my tyres up with a zefal handpump every few weeks, they were shitty 25cs. never got a single puncture. I weigh 57kg though. Now pump to 100psi once a week (23c) because my track pump can't go any higher. Thinking of getting one that at least goes to 120 and keeping it above 100

Why? Are you a cossetted middle classer who wants to experience the hard knocks for a bit?
