I won't quote the number of the property but I know it very well, your Landlord is Jamie right?

Watch out, he is a dodgy fucker.

  • There's that vintage bike shop north of Dalston which looks pretty sweet. Only been by while it was closed though. Maybe that? I don't remember the name, but someone posted about it on the forum about a year ago (maybe Winston?)...

To add to Archipelago's suggestions of Akitas and pitbulls here are a few more:

    • lose the helmet
    • lose the reflective vest (if used)
    • lose the CatEye lights and reflectors
    • grow hair longish,
    • buy some plaid shirts and clothes circa 1950/60 (Joanie / Archie Cunnignham)
    • Oversized wayfarers
    • Get some unfeasibly worn out vintage brogues
    • Take a Macbook and sit in either Spreadeagle or the coffee shop in the corner and watch the carnage

Oh...and void catching the eyes of the real 'locals' who are still recoveing from the shock of it all...

    WELCOME!!!!!!!!!

There is another shop tucked away just as Stokie begins on the left called Daycock's Bikes

perly rides is only a few months old. they are at the tesco end of well st,e9. i think the shop is run by the guy who had a bike stall in broadway market.

there's also another daycock's on roman road, but don't expect much in terms of parts for fixed or ss.

The shop that is NEVER open.
There's also another new one about 200m further down the street just past the uber-friendly Gun pub.

  • @ horatio

thanks for the bike shop advice, i actually went to no 14 just cause i had never been and just decided i hated it on appereances alone but the guy was great real nice pity they didnt have a the right tool to remove my cranks so carried my bike around for near an hour for no reason taking it to tour de ville, they will be able to do it.

  • East beers, wednesday nights, the Inn on the park, (Victoria Park that is) Lauriston Rd.

  • cheers blue quinn

    and @ crazyjames
i dont know my landlord we go through an agent called christina who is lovely so i am hoping even if he is a dodgy fucker she will sort it out

  • I know who Christina is too, advertised on the gumtree as individual room lets inclusive or exclusive of bills right?
She has no legal powers to make the landlord do anything, nor does any estate agent.
I'm hesitant to discuss this further on here, or to put anything more in writing to be honest, but be very wary, if you want to talk about this i'm happy to do it in person.
I hope you haven't handed over any deposit without proof of it being registered in the TDS beforehand, and if you don't have a signed legally binding and correct AST you have very few rights, then again neither does the landlord.....sorry to be a killjoy here.

+1 for tour de ville, best bike shop in the area I reckon.
