Whacked like fuck last night with a metal headed mallet, still no luck :-(

Remove crank, do the heating thing if you feel like it, attach pedal spanner so that you can stand up the spanner/crank like a shallow triangle, put on hard surface you don't want damaged, stamp on tip of triangle (making sure it's undoing clockwise).
Someone posted a picture of this method before...

Anti clockwise you mean?

It's non-drive side, init? So undo clockwise.

Before going to the direct heat approach you might want to try pouring boiling water over it- obviously not going to have as much effect as using a blowtorch (I have a butane blow torch if you want to borrow it), but it might be enough and it reduces the risks.

If only it was that easy. It's the non drive side crank, the drive side came off piss easy - I put all 16stone of my weight over it too
you do remember that the left side is counter threaded, right?

Thanks Dov but I need this done asap as selling the cranks this weekend

managed to get it off yet?
tried standing on the pedal spanner?
put crank facing forward, pedal spanner facing backwards, stand on pedal spanner and bounce, if that doesnt work then eat some more cake and try again.

hangon, i think it's ac90. can you use that in radiators and stuff? (non wind up)

Galvanic Corrosion.
Between steel and aluminium sometimes the electrolyte difference can be responsible for a type of 'welding'. I think.
Heat is a good idea, though sometimes they just won't budge. Which is a bit shit, but just incase you were turning it the right way..(ha ha...meh!;D)..and it had been soaked in AC90?...Diesel can work too(though it stinks) and had used a 'fuck off' bar in the process, and it still didn't come undone...then chemical welding is the problem.
And if you do get it undone it might 'eat' the threads in the 'softer' aluminium. ie the pedal threads being steel will 'take' some of the aluminium with them as you undo it.

As the title says....
Can't for the life of me get the cunt off! Been trying for 2 days, put WD40 on it over night, tried again this morning, no joy.....probably need to put a long bit of piping on the spanner but not had chance yet. Any tips?
HTFU is not an option
HTFU wasn't needed STFU was

Put a big spanner on it and give the spanner a sharp blow with a hammer - that sometimes 'breaks' the joint between the pedal spindle and the crank.
Permission to look smug....?
