What's with all the insecure talk about beating people up, and crass generalisations about 'weak & skinny' people?
Maybe I'm in a 'privileged' position as a mesomorph (if you want to buy into that system of categorisation), and can cosily sit and decry the hate at other ends of the spectrum, but all this 'I'd definitely win in a fight' stuff seems a bit unnecessary.
Blah blah genetics, blah blah lifestyle, blah blah live and let live.
Indeed your anecdotes there don't really reflect reality, they just reflect your personal experiences in life, at school I was probably in a similar situation to yourself, i've never been an average size guy, and for some reason kids in school, always think its fun to try and pick a fight with the bigger guys, I dealt with it accordingly but i'm not proud of having to fight people to make a point, but I can tell you now that size has nothing to do with how handy someone is in a fight.
I think on bodyweight in general, there's healthy and unhealthy, you can be a big person and be healthy, however what you cannot be is grossly obese and healthy, when you are grossly obese you can try and justify it anyway you want, but it IS extremely unhealthy and unecessary stress on your body, just as being anorexic or extremely underweight is, yeah and since the thread is about Beth Ditto, I can't stand her I find her personality and her looks both vulgar, but just to even it out I can tell you I don't find people like Kate Moss and girls of a similar look attractive either.
As far as a healthy size and being beautiful goes I would have to say Beyonce is up there as one of my favourites, beautiful, and a healthy size with it:
