• It's front. The spokes on the rear wheel are spoked in a cross patern.

    If you want to use it on the track, cut M5 thread in the axled and fix the wheel with M5 bolts (Hex socket head) with flat washers.

    If it was a rear wheel, you could easily fix the freewheel mechanism by welding the inner and outer body together or put some thin metal parts (e.g. pieces of spokes or nails) behind the pawls. I did this several times with both cassette hubs and multiple freewheels and it works fine. As long as you don't need a lockring for skidding or so.
