  • and the vw beetle

  • The new Ferrari 458 Italia. Looks a damn sight better than the 360/430.

  • Just had a nice car journey in the back of a Audi TT, knees beside my ears, head against the rear windscreen, not fun, especially over speed bumps ><

Thankfully I'm only 5'6" but Essex to New Forest in the back of my dad's 996 was ridiculous. I'm glad it's a cabriolet because I can push the roof up with my head. If I sit in the back with the roof down by head sticks out above the windscreen. I've had a bee splat on my forehead...

  • Also, fitted my Spax coilovers to my Mini. Spax's suppliers have fucked up so it won't go as low as it should, so I'm currently waiting for them to sort it. The handling is phenomenal though!

Looks-wise I think it's a step back, but I like that they're going back to the old naming convention like the 308/328/348.

  • dudes, my search may be over.
i will take a pick of the lovely mk3 gt6 and post asap.

    (fingers crossed)

I love the Pininfarina aesthetics ,the front end particularly..lush! not sold on the rare, looks strikingly similar to the F50...obviously big improvements all round ( incl reduction in emissions & tighter aerodynamics for a sweet downforce of 140 kg at 200km/h!

good luck! post in car love too ..we need to see some fresh metal in there :)

  • THat 458 is pretty sexy!

  • Torsion bar suspension can be found in the back of Peugeot 205s, and probably many other small hatches.
Also on Porsche 911, 914, 924 and 944 models. 911s and 914s have them at the front as well.

afaik torsion bars were the setup on the backs of all pugs up until early 2000 ?! All 106 and 306s ran that setup for sure. Think all aircooled dubs were on that as well ??

  • Three wheel Bond, in the carpark behind work today. There is a classic rally on the island this week. Some beautiful cars. Hopefully they'll still be here friday when I have time to go and be envious.

  • never seen one in red before, dont forget to take plenty of pixs if you make it in time and post them you know where :p

  • Shhhhhh.

  • one for you Erik... fancy a e-Porsche?

eRUF will be the world’s first electric vehicle fitted with a bi-directional network connection, which – without the otherwise necessary additional recharging electronics – is capable to be recharged in less than an hour at a 400-volt power outlet – and can use the same power outlet to feed energy back into the power network if required.

Im searching for more info on specs , will edit once I find it....

I am still saving for my Morgan ;o))))

  • aaahh sweet... some fine examples posted wayyy back... one in particular I may still have on file, I'll dig around...

  • not the one I was looking for but a rather fine example..

  • Nice!

  • Kinda lik ethe way that the eRUf has been styled to look like an early 911/912 cab/targa top !

  • This is something a little bit special: a V10 E30 M3 - sorry if it's a repost:

The full story of the build is here:

  • I had the Nissan GT-R for a weekend about a month ago..... sweet! And let's face it, getting a lot of envious looks from almost all other road users was priceless! Passed a Scooby day out on my way from Milton Keynes to Sunderland..... they all sank down in their seats when I passed.... it is truly a 'halo' product for the brand.

Hah, just got Excellence Magazine with this on the cover the other day, it seems like they're really onto something with it, it really is great that the electric car technology has been so overlooked by big manufacturers up until now, it means it's levelled the playing field for all the little guys out there and it's going to result in some exciting stuff coming from some strange places...

On the topic of the eRuf it's performance figures are similar enough to those of the Tesla but I'm not going to lie, it's so much sexier!! Not sure if it'll handle better though to be honest, the Tesla was a great drive... I'll have to wangle a spin in one of these now to compare ;)

It really is good looking but I reckon the best Ferrari of recent years was the 360... Much prettier than that and the F430 and the coup being that it had a proper gearbox which Ferrari aren't going to do anymore...
