just got back from this, did it fixed. There were a couple of hundred in a peloton at the start but the pace was about 20mph on the flat so it thinned out when it hit the first hills.
Was a good laugh, police looked like they'd only just heard about it as well.

Sounds quality, good to hear it was a proper ride as well not a go slow.

It was great. I loved it. My brother got to spend 10 minutes by his side having a chat about random shite.

Graham Obree was there! Awesome!

David Millar didn't turn up as well, did he?How come he chose Glasgow? I assume that he was promoting the "Live Strong" foundation. I read his book "it's not about the bike" and was amazed at what he went through in fighting the big C to then come back into cycling stronger than ever. The guy has balls.

How come he chose Glasgow?
He was over to watch U2 (go figure) before starting the Tour of Ireland on Friday 21 August.

He then flew to London on the U2 jet before flying to Oslo where he saw Thor of the Green Jersey and attended a Livestrong event and then on to Dublin to start the ToI. He has just finished the first stage (won by Russ Downing of CandiTV) in the second bunch.

he came to dublin today and the irish times estimated 1200+ people turned out. the atmosphere was great
i'm not even american. i wouldn't let racism slip under the net, don't see how what he said was much different.
