I heard a guy in the Evans at St Pauls telling some girl a single/fixed was "a kind of lifestyle-bike..." WTF is "lifestyle" about a particular arrangement of the drive-train..?!??
I butted in and said "It tends to get you from A to B really fast, but it is a bit of an effort on the hills." She told the guy she wasn't fussed about speed and didn't want any effort on hills, so they stopped fucking about and moved on to the girlie-gearengers.
Lifestyle, my arse.
