If you get that seatpost, there may be hope for me!

I have a quil stem for a french bike as they are not usually the standard size.

What's your price?

What's your price?
For the stem? £10. Cheers

Dante and Justinnnnn dooo the business!

You will need to measure the inside of the steerer on the forks as sometimes they are standard 22.2. French sized quil stems are 22. dead.

What's .2 of a mil between sirs? Do you have a picture of it?
If you can hang on until tomorrow I can get back to you on buying it (I'm travelling back to Swansea tomorrow where my frame is lurking), how's that?

I think I may have sourced a stem from my Dawes, it's a bit tight but I can get it in. Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated.

your best bet with the seatpost is to get one of those ugly ones for a tenner from decathlon and shim it or have one made.
-
• #15
The decathlon has been mentioned a couple of times but whenever I've looked at them I can't find the size that I need or one nearest, have you got a link?
-
• #16
the one they sell is 23.4 or something, as mentioned you'll have to shim it. you'll have to get to a store to see it

There's an air of mystery to your reply..
Do you have a seatpost to fit a carbolite frame?
What else do you have? -
• #19
I want them now. :(

[Resurrecting the thread..]
41velo: Could you give me a list of parts you have with sizes, etc?
Cheers.
Ok, so I've had zero luck finding one through parts bins and my searches online have been just as fruitful.
Has anybody got a spare 24mm/24.8mm seat post in fairly good condition? Doesn't matter too much if it's a bit grubby, but as long as the metal is in good nick.
Also, anybody with any other spare bits that fit 80's Peugeots, let me know I may be interested.
