This weekend, we had lots of people coming along and playing for the first time, and lots of us lent them bikes/mallets, and that's fine. We all did the same when we first played.
What I don't really like is people turning up time after time borrowing my shit, and even just walking up to my bike and not asking and getting it on the court. It's not on. You're best to learn to play on your own bike, and it really doesn't take that much effort to make a mallet. There are lots of people that can tell you how, or just google it. It's not rocket science.
Don't get me wrong, it's cool to borrow stuff the first couple of times you come along to play, but beyond that, I think the onus is on you to build a mallet and if needs be, build a polo bike. We've all done it.
