    Hey guys and girls!
This is my great-grandfather Ernest in 1907, just after he won £100 in a race on a cinder track.
    Fixed gear ...

He looks really strong. this is quite an achievement for a cyclist as most boxers & strongmen looked skinny & weak back then.

  • Hey Hurricane. quote:" The ugliest bike on the forum?" No way, you gotta be kidding. Some of us (me) ride Unicraps (Unipak sold as Creates - warning to those that dont know better). There is always beauty in things that ACTUALLY work.I must have the only bicycle that sounds like a tracktor.

  • It was in reference to my post.

They don't have to be interesting, they just have to be on topic

I know it was in reference to your post and I know it was on topic.

You can't deny it was a blatant attempt at 'getting a (pointless) first post' though.

    taco taco kisses.

  • easy
well heres my second waste of a post then

I couldn't tell you his intentions but it's better than someone just writing '1' in their post or something equally as blantent.

  • since I know a few of you from a couple of rides I guess its time to post a bike to face photo. atanz - aka "don't discount the skinny guy" alan (according to teddy)

    my bike:

I realize I dont have many photos of me, but i'm on the right.

  • Nice frame :-)

New (re)build from another bike of mine thats about 18 years old, will probably be my g/f's when we figure out what gear she wants. (hence the freewheel)

  • GT in tasteful bike shocker! where is the thermoplastic!!! ?

  • Alan is also outrageously fit. That's not a come-on.

  • beautiful it is not, mine it is.

same can be said for me.
the chocolate eating oaf that is:

  • Nef, i like it! Lugged frame and clashing blue and green, yep that rocks! Im sure it wants some chrome drops on it! we have the same saddle, uncomfortable innit!?

  • Nice scheme,i'm currently getting a team banana bastardised as my first fixie, was going to go with the blue and white fade TOPS

  • the frame is awful, the tubing is something like 453 and it doesn't feel very strong/has lots of flex but it was the only one my size i could find. as for drops, i'm sticking with risers for now but i'm considering getting something like these nitto bars

i'm very much without monies at the moment though.

as for the saddle i have no idea as i only finished the build earlier tonight, seem ok from what short ride i've had but i guess a longer ride will determine that!

    like those?
i'd be worried about snapping them when cranking up steep hills if they're tear dropped like that

  • Exactly like that! - but your arms are literally twice the size of mine.

I better post some updated photos of my bike its not quite as commuter as it was now
