i.e. Reynolds 631 is comparable to says COM 12.5 double butted (as far as I've notice in term of weight).
it's density and youngs modulus would be the same so if the tube dimensions were the same the stiffness of the tubes would be identical. it's the tensile strength/KSI that enables a thinner tube or a larger o/d to be used (to build a lighter or stronger frame). the tube dimensions dictate stiffness.
