  • I don't get it. You saw him riding it, followed him and waited for him to lock up to take a picture?

And when he was locking up he removed the front wheel?

Sorry if I'm being painfully thick.

  • ^lol

    That's exactly what happened.

  • Oh :)

  • "Centrum" possible spot

dayno sent me a text earlier (8pm) that shows a guy buying or selling a CENTRUM that could be the same as the one stolen from wblati above. They were at Hoxton but I've only just now been able to get this post up. It has an Evans sticker. Looks Medium or Large size. I have a distant image but can't upload it from here.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

  • I saw a fat guy selling stolen brakes to adoubletap. I have it on video.

  • I'm going to have you killed. It will have to be tomorrow after lunch though. Is that okay with you?

  • Only if I can get some candyfloss first.

I'm sorry, but that'll be a double booking. I'm already being killed in the morning, so being killed in the afternoon just won't do.

  • A friend of mine saw a PIKEY, white trash, chav, whatever u want to called IT, pulling out one of these out of his jacket in the middle of Mayfair in the middle of the day (3pm), breaking a lock and cycling off with it.

  • Mate had his bike stolen from outside the George in Dalston. Old Puch frame, quite knackered, nothing special, just a beater. Still infuriating. I thought things were getting better or if you had shit bikes it would be ok - obviously not.

  • Dalston again as per usual, and we'll expect another couple more stolen around dalston or outside the pub next week.

  • The amazing thing is that the whole thing is so fucking predictable. Next Friday i'm getting a video camera and going on a hunt. The george, the scolt head, the Vietnamese and general kingsland road - i'm going to start getting these guys on video.

  • oh the george is easy, there's a bloke there who live nearby is the one who's likely to nick that bike, forget his name thought, it's in this topic somewhere.

    Hippy,

it had a Cyclopedia sticker(bought the bike from Cyclopedia in Kensington). The size was a SMALL - about 21"

  • Think a list needs to be made of places like pubs, cafes, places to eat that are bike friendly and allow you either to bring them in or have somewhere safe for you to lock up your bike so try and avoid the usual...

Thought there might have been a list already ! Good work.

  • Yo,

My Black IRO got nicked on wednesday from outside the grocery on kingsland road.

Very distinguishable 61cm lrg frame with Orange P7 Mtb forks and 35mm continental tyres on black velocitys.

Also had a sweet Old skool sugino mighty crankset on it with a blackburn chainring.

Oversize riser bars and a kore stem with white flames.

Damn I dug that bike. Anyway I'm putting it out there and if anyone spots it then buzz me on 07725640607.

    Big thanks

  • aaand kingsland road as per usual.

  • Do a honey trap plus some vigilante action.

That part of Kingsland Rd (near old st) is normally alright. I live there and barely ever see dodgy activity. I'm actually surprised a bike was stolen outside the grocery, unless it was closed. People sometimes don't even bother locking their bikes outside there, such a busy area, and staff always hanging around outside.

Can't say much about further up the road though.

WTF? On Kingsland Road? Used to live there a few years back, always thieving scrotes about. Can't believe it's cleaned up that much.

  • Kingsland rd in general is a cesspit of thieving scrotes. I was referring specifically to the area where his bike was stolen. Very busy area, mostly hipsters and architects with porches.
