oh and in response to messages asking:
there will be flat bits and rides totally suitable for fixies...don't worry..maybe a few bumps but easy rideable...that's why there will be 3/4 rides a day- roadies, fixies, mountain bikes, leisure /shopper types...
hopefully gonna get around 40 people to come so quite a few people on each ride

Ok, so as you may know there has been some chopping and changing with the Spring camp.
It has now been decided that we shall be having TWO camps. Everyone is welcome on either or both, however you MUST let me know by THIS MONDAY AT 5PM which you want to go on, and then come and give me a deposit of 13 quid. You will be asked to pay the rest of the amount a month 4 weeks before the camp. (those coming in March will be required to pay the full balance immediately)
Details are as follows:
March Camp: 5th 8th March (does anyone want to stay Sunday night as well?) Scarborough, Yorkshire
Bunkhouse, currently deciding on one which sleeps 12 and one which sleeps 24 depending on numbers. This means I shall only know the full cost on Monday at 5pm. Howevever it shouldn't be too much more than 15 quid per night.April Camp: 23rd to 25th April (does anyone want to stay Sunday night as well?)
Clapham, Lancashire
Bunkhouse sleeps 23. £12.50 per person per night. We are going to bulk buy food so that it is cheaper and we can cook lovely big meals together, and so please allow another 8 pounds each for that (should be less than that though). However please bring your own alcohol.
thanks

hey Nes whats the difference between the two camps?

i reckon we'll be doing a bit more hill rides on the Scarborough one and will be more riding and real ale, whereas the april one will be fun and workshops and rides, but really the only difference is that some people couldn't make april and had already taken time off work. oh and in scarborough we're prolly gonna hire mountain bikes one day...

Hello Everyone!
We were going to have an I Bike MCR Summer Camp but due to other
commitments we have had to postpone it....but instead we are proposing to
have an I Bike MCR "SPRING IS COMING" Camp in March.
It will take place over 4 days and there will be rides every day- one ride
for the faster roadies, one ride for slower ambles and a mountain bike
type ride. We shall also have bike maintenance workshops and bike polo and
other stuff mixed in too. In the evenings we can have a night ride, bike
film screenings, campfires, parties etc.
It will be in a nice bunkhouse that will mean people sleeping in bunk beds
in dorm rooms, but we'd book the whole place out to ourselves so it would
be a bit like a fun big kids biking sleepover! It would be in the
Yorkshire Dales where there is loads of good riding- flat and hilly with
the opportunity to ride to the sea one day too! and also other exciting
things to visit such as the Ingleton waterfalls which look AMAZING...
It shall take place for the whole weekend from Thursday 5th March to
Monday 8th March 2010. If people aren't able to take the long weekend they
can join for just the weekend dates.
It looks like it would cost £32 p/p for the 4 nights plus approx £10 each
for food which we shall take in turns to cook as a group etc.
At the moment it's available those dates but i don't know how many of the
bunkhouses to book. I guess i'm asking, do you think it's a good idea?
would you be up for going? What other activities would you like to do
whilst there? Would you like to run a workshop/ lead a ride?
Once I have an idea of how many people would be up for going I shall book
a place accordingly and also start asking for deposits etc. Please give as
accurate an idea as possible if you would like to go, and ask your cycling
friends too and let me know ASAP.
