I've got a 1940s Whittaker and Mapplebeck/Pennine (or at least I think it's that old - I took it into the shop when I got it and that's what the guy there dated it as) for my current project. It's in a rough state, and has been overpainted with brushed blue gloss at some point, but I just uncovered this rather cute handpainted little forest scene. Bike archaeology! It's a shame it'll go when I get it resprayed.
