there's a serpent whose have a face on both end of the snake, in the myth you look through the mouth of the serpent to see the other 'world' where the God, Goddess and Tynan live, it can't be a self-eating snake as there's two head on both end of the body.
as for the cross - no idea, so far it look like a heavy metal symbol.
