The resurrection of this thread just reminded me of the old Hercules that my mother found and put in the garden as an ornament that at least the cat enjoys.. It's got a freewheel on the back at the moment but it's a flip-flop hub and has a lockring thread on the unused side.
Unfortunately because it's old and my mum likes leaving it out in the garden it's all rusted and unusable but I like to think it's at least being appreciated whilst it falls into disrepair instead of just being on a tip.
