if fox doesn't sort you out, i can. And i agree, they are super comfy. The only fault i have with them is that you can see the rails.

I have a white one, love the look of it. Comfortable? Well, you still have an achey arse after a long ride.

certainly the Arione is comfortable with multi-positioning being a real plus.
i did the same as you Ed, trying before you spend a bomb on a saddle that might rip your gooch to shreds (as i found did happen with a Brooks Pro),
and although the Arione (which a forum member kindly borrowed) was very comfortable as i could see, i still could not justify to myself spending £90 on a saddle... i am just that tight.Regardless, Fizik make great saddles.

I too have a spare Aliante if you want a test-drive and are ever East. If the others fall through, you are of course most welcome…

Alright just borrowed Fox's Aliante, so far I"m a bit sore because I put the saddle nose a little too high, argh.
however it seemed comfortable, I just need to spend a while tweaking the position of the saddle to see if I can get it as comfortable as possible.

I found it very similar to a Charge Spoon and 3xthe price

Doesn't seemed so at all, I had a charge knife (same as spoon really), couldn't really get on with it.

Knife is not the same as the Spoon. You cant eat muesli with a knife.

It is definitely a good idea to borrow one of these first. It came as stock on my last road bike and I gave it away after 2 weeks, for me it was the most uncomfortable saddle I have ever used.

The Aliante? it can be the most uncomfortable saddle in the world if the nose is dipped upware slighty.
I do hope you spend a while adjusting the saddle first before giving it away!

yeah I have heard a lot of good things about them and so I spent plenty of time adjusting it - but if your sit bones don't match the build of the saddle you aren't going to have much luck.
I am tempted to try an Arione next but i'm mainly looking for a saddle for my mtb and don't think it would be suited. -

Cyclefit recommended the Aliante to me
ps I have one for sale - same as above - except has silver cover things on the back and is in vgc - £30 can meet you half way between Wimbledon & SW6!
I like them so much I also bought the carbon railed blinged up version
The bloke at Condor said they highly recommended the Aliante as according to them is the most comfortable saddle they've sold so far.
naturally I'm quite wary to drop a lots of money on those saddle, anyone have one for me to borrow so I can able to decided if it worth it?
