For Sale: Mercian 1984 531 Ltd Edition Frame+Forks 54cm

Moving house and trying to clear space is forcing me to sell this beauty. I got it 2 years ago, removed all the braze-ons, and had it re-painted by mercian themselves in gunmetal grey with a silver head tube and silver lug lining.

It's one of a small batch made in '84 for Reynold's 50th Anniversary in conjunction with Mercian. One of the nicest frames I've ever ridden, so comfy, perfect proportions for cruising over distance. It's not done many miles while under my ownership.

The paint is in great condition, it has a few small chips from other bikes being leant on it, but barely noticeable.

Headset + BB are NOT included in sale.

Oh, it's designed for 700c wheels.

I like the Mercian a lot, I found a photo of it on flickr a while before I joined the forum, and stole used the colour scheme as the basis for my old Bob Jackson. Good luck with the sale, bet it won't hang around long.

NIce idea, Ed. And it does look really fine. But I have a gruppo with Ergo shifters that I'm looking to use.

Beautiful bike as it's the right size and right age for me, but not really in need of a new bike at the moment.
