    But not entirely true on the leg measurement, your not supposed to have your leg bent as such, but it's important not to let your knee lock as well (this created more work for your knee).

    Lots of research you can do with this, but it is important if you don't want to have to have knee surgery before your thirty.

    A good way to get the correct leg extention (ish everyones different) is:
    Put the heal of your foot on the pedal when at the lowest point, your leg should then be locked straight with your foot flat and your hips should not be rocked over to compensate.
    This means when the ball of your foot is over the pedal axle your leg should just have popped back from it's locked position and your foot should be pointing slightly down.
    I find this is a pretty good place to start people off and can then micro adjust from there.
