  • 1+ last week, a chav with his mobile glued to his ear was cycling very fast toward me on the pavement of old wimbledon town, when he was just about passing me, i scream into his ear "OI!!!!!!" and watch him wobbling into a piles of rubbish while dropping his phone down the drainhole with two police officier heading over toward him.

    karma.

That is the sort of retribution us mere mortals can only dream of.

Truly, you have been blessed with a great gift.

I was recently riding along the cobblestones at the top of columbia rd, bouncing around everywhere. I noticed a chav cycling smoothly towards on the pavement laughing at me. Just to make sure I knew, he even pointed at me. Unfortunantly for him he didn't notice that he was riding towards a lamp post until it was too late.

  • Another *brilliant *article from the BBC...

On topic: It does piss me off when I see people riding on the pavement, but there are occasions when it is far safer for everyone to do so. I don't think it should be completely illegal to cycle on the pavement. If people applied common sense and didn't cycle "like a bat out of hell", always give pedestrians right of way, etc. there wouldn't be an issue with cycling on the pavement. But of course they don't, and there is.

  • what is a mockery of justice, is that this guy gets 7 months for accidental death, and ronnie biggs gets years and years for robbery? i guess if they accidentally killed someone and this caused their corpse to depreciate in value or something then he'd get longer.

    money money money.

That was along time ago, things have changed a tad since then.

I would personally like to see Mr Biggs spend his final days in a cell or atleast payfor the health care he is recieving. The thieving twat deserves nothing from the state. It fucks me off and it's not even my taxes.

  • So what happens in this case then... I was cycling back from work tonight when some yank ran out infront of me on the road and because it was raining I did my best to brake and swerve and hit him. Where do I stand (aside from drawing my collision!)?

As for his penalty, a bit longer I think would be best, there is no excuse to ride like that on a pavement.

not really, he was still being attempted to be held in prison.

thieving twat deserves nothing from the state? what about all the money that gordon brown oversaw the loss of?

people found guilty of much worse have got much less.

You should have dived off your bike into oncoming traffic, risking a fatal injury and potentially damaging parts of your bike. At least you wouldn't have hit someone who accidentally walked out in front of you.

    Right?

  • @ fran, was a big yank though, and f***k that my wheels are my only means of getting round London in sensible times, so bike ftw everytime!

True - Though Biggs has cost the UK tax payer thousands and thousands in legal fees (extradition etc) because he didn't want to do the time for a crime he boasts about. If he needs treatment he should use his stolen cash to pay for it or fuck off back to Brazil.

As for Gordon Brown well you only have yourselves to blame ;-). I know he wasn't elected, but shit happens. He's not the only PM or politician to have screwed the tax payer, and he certainly won't be the last

Had Brady and Hindley commited the crimes they did in the 90's, their punishment would have been a lot less Now than it was back then. This would be wrong.
