  • Would it not be sensible to start 2 weeks later so that the BFF is out of the way?

    Right, we'll change a) and b) to:

    b) That we start the league on the week of Sept 28;
    c) That we close team registration on Sept 21.

  • thanks Matt!

  • yah good stuff!

youse lot don't even know about my tournament yet...

  • Nicely done.

  • Can we have an earlier start (Sep 1) a compromise (Sep 14) and a later start (Sep 28) and then vote on it. I would prefer an earlier start to the league.

  • I'd like an earlier start too, maybe we could have a week hiatus for the bff?

  • A 1-day tournament needn't delay the league beginning by a fortnight.

  • Sounds good. I'll include starting dates in the post. Barring any objections, I'll make the deadline for team registration 1 week before the start of the league.

  • earlier star please, I cant wait to star the shit talking and the proper polo

  • hey it seams like abz are disbanding due to life the universe and that
so if anyone still needs a team mate and dont shudder at the thought of playing with me
i need a new team for the league
(I know there was a thread for this someplace but its lost in time)

  • Can someone explain what a triple fixture is. Is it 3 games in a week?

  • Earlier start ftw.
    pls.

  • Can someone explain what a triple fixture is. Is it 3 games in a week?

The idea was to have 3 tetams meet up, and play their fixtures against each other in one day/eve.

    A vs B
    A vs C
    B vs C

It my be impossible to get that done in an evening unless we have timed games.

  • Can we begin September 1st?

  • poll? a poll you have to pay to be able to vote on?

  • No representation without taxation.

  • I'd like an earlier start but wont be back in London until 6th September.
If we have a week to play each fixture, starting Sept 1st is good for me.
    Looking forward to this.

  • snap +1

  • Can we begin September 1st?

+1. And can we have the whole fixture list published? With the proviso that fixtures must be played in dates specified?

  • I'd prefer a mid September start but it looks like the general consensus is to start early so I guess we can just get a sub for the first one or two games.

  • Would it be possible to start early, but have a bit of extra time to play the first few fixtures too? (I think this is a good idea while the two BFFs are going on too...)

  • You can make up any missed fixtures so long as the games are played before the end of the league.

Are we doing weekly fixture windows?

  • You can make up any missed fixtures so long as the games are played before the end of the league.

I may be making rods for my team's backs here, but given the hassle that was caused last year by postponed fixtures, I think that fixtures should only be postponed in EXCEPTIONAL circumstances.

  • agree, don't want teams making a habit of it and building up a shed load to play in the last couple of weeks.

Maybe have a set number of times that games can be postponed past the allotted time? 3?

  • ...given the hassle that was caused last year by postponed fixtures, I think that fixtures should only be postponed in EXCEPTIONAL circumstances.

I thought the only real problem was the teams that were not 100% committed?

There is always going to be a week when not all 6 players can get together, so I'd like to agree with Tom : 'You can make up any missed fixtures so long as the games are played before the end of the league'.

Releasing all fixtures in advance is a great idea though.
