Oxford in the bike polo league

yeah sorry but I would not travel to oxford for fixtures either
was only worth the reverse trip to london regularly as got to spend two whole days playing
its too big a time and money investment for a couple of games

(also the fact that some of us would have to commute over two hours to get to oxford, that's four hours of travelling for 1hour of league polo, when there is certainly polo in london on the same day!)

I'd prefer the odd friendly anyway rather than making a big deal of it if you can't make it . I still want to come over to Oxford from Cambridge for some games .

Maybe this should precipitate the idea of a nationwide league? Maybe monthly fixtures? Seams like you've already got the interest of Oxbridge and Manchester...

you still get to London any saturday an sunday and play trow-ins with us, you are more than wellcome

National knockout!

Not that it's anything to do with me, but couldn't you have special league weekends for the non London teams, where a load of teams turn up in Oxford and other cities to play the fixtures over 2 days, and the same in return. That way you only have to go to each city once a year, and at least you can make an event of it, and the other way the teams from elsewhere don't have to travel so often.

I think the London league should take place in London. But non-London teams are happy to try to make it down here to play if they can make it every two weeks (assuming this all works out in the vote on the tourney II thread.

I think they'd also find some teams are willing to visit them, but best not count on that.

But they can count on the fact that some players get nosebleeds around watford so definitely won't b making it out of london!

But I think the idea would make a good basis for a national league.
