I've stated my best pedestrian line ever, but it was sensored (and quite rightly too) for being too rude on the forum.

"I'm very disappointed with your behaviour Mr Pedestrian. Please be so kind as to not let this happen again. Thank you ever so much."

Around 18:00 I was making a routine commute to my Monday night yoga class. I had barely left Finsbury Park (home) when on Mountgrove Road I was cycling at a slow to reasonable pace (but roads empty so wasn't holding anyone up). I saw two pedestrians (women in mid twenties) with a big dog. One of them was carrying a dog lead, and as I passed them she scuttled behind me and then whacked me with the dog lead, using it like a whip. OMG! Total random act of violence. I was so furious. And also completely caught off guard. Luckily I was moving so she didn't get a great shot, but still! I wanted to turn around and ride into her using the bike and myself as a weapon. But realized being a puny girl and outnumbered 2.5 to 1 (I gathered immediately they would have no ethical problems with an unfair advantage and tag team to kick my arse and set the dog on me after to eat my face. Insult to injury, as I cycled off into the distance, I heard them laughing to each other. Yes, it was that hilarious.

Stuff like this is pretty expectable if you have the audacity to ride a bike after you are 10, and go forbid on public roads! lol
In all seriousness I cannot even guess the amount of times Ive had stuff thrown at me (eggs/bottles etc) aswell as random insults, threats and attempts at being run over.
Ive also had a fair share of random people try to start fights or knock me off, not even to try and steal the bike. Just because a cyclist is such a novelty and target for fun. Had a member of a gan of loitering thugs try to kick me as I rode past. The event sunk in a few metres after I passed, I was so incredibly furious I couldnt stop thinking about it. I knew I couldnt go back then as there was so many of them. But I kept scheming & running things through my head about potential ways to smash there head in. I actually hoped to bump into a few of them again, I kept my eye out in the area for the next few days very furious and ready to D-lock them to death in the head. But the opportunity never arose.

3 minute happenings..
Yeah, I was cycling down old street and in the distance I saw some dude aiming to throw something in air so when I cycled past it would hit me. It brushed my arm and I realized it was an egg (didnt crack on me but on the floor) I turned around, saw him laughing then cycled off. After going cycling on for about 10 seconds I thought nah fuck this so I u-turned and I saw the look on his face drop immediately especially when I hopped off my bike and he saw I was about a foot and a half taller than him, the two girls he was with shat their pants (I think they thought I was a rudeboy or something, ha!)
At first I was literally about to clock this guy in the face but I actually never fight and Im always the one to try and resolve conflicts on the street. I was just like "dude what the hell man, what the fuck was that about" and the girls where making up some bullshit about how they thought I was their friend cycling and how it was a joke. I was like "what if it had splatted in my face/eye and I crashed etc.." and they apologized. I didn't make a scene out of it, I didn't raise my voice or anything like that, passers-by didn't know what was happening - just kept it chill but i was pretty angry. They tried to make light after that being like "o cool trainers, cool bike blah blah and I just rode off.
To be honest I think I scared them more by remaining calm.
Sorry to hear about your mishaps cheevil you should move further up the W7 bus ride journey to Crouch End - its lot more friendly around here!! =)

i cringed.
its true though what you say, most of the time people dont expect you to stop and confront them. A lot of the time just doing that is enough, no need to actually D lock their face in..
..unless they really are twats.
i now know what the best insult is. ever.
old people are pretty bad, sadly there is squat all we can do.
