• I have a crumpler bag... and not sure how i go about washing it,
does any one have any easy soloutions?

    cheers
    Dawson.

  • 30degs gentle action does it (no fabric softener), leave it a while to dry. i have put mine through 4/5 times and have no problems. in fact got to do it again tonight

  • You want to put it inside some kind of mesh bag or pillow case or something, so the straps and material don't get damaged by the washing machine drum, then depending on how manky it is you want to wash it for a fairly long period on a cool temperature, at least thats how i've washed my bags in the past and its never done them any harm.

  • and on a lower than normal speed spin.

  • try some white vinegar and bicarb of soda dissolved in a hot bath and dunk bag. use shower head to rinse then drip dry. they also work as a good pre wash for man made cycling kit to stop it going stanky.

  • You wash your bags?

  • soap flakes (dissolved); or Woolite. Delicate cycle.

  • Wash it in the canal then it will smell like you (and your mum). xxx

  • Throw it in the machine, don't worry about it. Mine's been through a few times - always comes out super clean and perfectly intact. Thinking about it, I've had my Crumpler two years now, and it's still almost the same as it was new. Pricey at the time, but well worth it.

  • Interesting thread, mine needs a clean too, never thought i could put it inthe machine. Only bag I have ever thought of washing. Though my crumpler maybe fake, what country are they normally made in? Im guessing not Vietnam!

Get a room, Sparrow and dawson, ideally one of those little cylindrical metal ones, and set it to Spin Cycle. ;)

  • Soap?

  • Centrifugal force.

  • magic

  • Tynan has a "custom" cleaning solution that you can use. I'm not sure of his current stock level.

Got's ta get some pies in.

  • I heard pies...

  • 3.14...

  • 159

  • 2654

  • fill it up with water and suds, find a sweet stair set (30-40) ride down the stairs, rinse and repeat until you achieve you level of freshness

*save time put your laundry/dishes in too!

I had a Crumpler for 11 years, so ner. Bought it from the store on Brunswick Street Melbourne, when they used to make them out the back - in fact they finished it while I waited.
I just bought a new one to replace it.

  • Mine's 6yo. I got it cheap coz it was old stock. I haz PAC now though so it's kinda retired. It has never been washed, except for a quick wet wipe when stuff leaked in it.

  • Mine's the green one, bought in Utrecht.

  • fill it up with water and suds, find a sweet stair set (30-40) ride down the stairs, rinse and repeat until you achieve you level of freshness

Love it!!!! What an idea :P
