I too like the juicer and the saddle. I think Charge are doing quite well for themselves. That updated Plug is a little ridiculous though.

i think charge are bang on it, genius to have bought the rights for one of the most sought after NOS saddles and to produce it

just been reading a bit about this range and apparently the charge griffin is a collaboration with griffin clothing, who are big on camo - hence the desert camo on the saddle..
there's some bike polo pics on the griffin site and, although i haven't been along to any polo yet, i'm pretty sure that this is exactly what it's like..

"Taking inspiration for his up an coming autumn/winter 09 collection from the cyclist and the path of commuting from the countryside to the city. Griffin is mixing country tweeds with urban city living, as the guys in Brick lane are bringing polo to their bikes in the East End, we are bringing the country to the city. Mixing technical fabrics with traditional wools to produce garments that have all the flexibility and functionality of a modern day cycling jacket but with the look of modern luxury sportswear."
So there you go,for 2009 its all about mixing your tweeds with your Brick Lane urban living, ....

Regardless of what you think of the looks, they ride really nice, like a big bmx, which is exactly what they were intended to be!

Bmx cranks
Silly wide 3 inch high riser bars
Bmx Grips
Bmx pedals
Bmx style 48 Spoke wheels
Big tyresI fear if you ever saw my bike in person you may experience death by evacuation, not pleasant.

will people stop putting mountain bike front ends on track bikes now please.
It's so far removed from a track bike it hardly counts to view it as such.

Heh, I'm being slightly facetious as really I'd rather there existed many sub-sub-tribes than everyone knocking about on the same gear any day of the week.

Me too, it'd be a boring old world if everyone just rode their "track bikes" on the track ;)

its a copy, not a remake, they don't have the right to do it, they don't need the rights. How postmodern.
Still looks shite though. Give me a Turbo any day, the underneath of it looks so bad, looks like an endoscope camera's view of someone private parts...
and the staples on show, poor quality and i always think the saddle is one of the most important parts for comfort, hence i don't ride a brooks, its like sitting on a shoe.
I hope one makes it to Selle Italia in Italy so they can have a giant laugh out loud.
If you have a Charge Plug get one, it'll make your bike look better. -

Actually I only just notice this - Charge brought the original mold for the Turbo from Selle Italia, so what you're seeing is the exact copy of the Turbo, unlike the other which is more of a 'homage'.

Probably a repost, but thought I would add to this thread -
"Straw Bars: a bit like the legendary Fixie inc Car scratcher but thanks to the friendly bullet end caps they (probably) won't scratch anybody's car. They're available in a range of colours and at £19.99 are likely to be coming to a fixed gear rider near you (assuming there are some in your neighbourhood). There's also a riser version, the Spit; both are available in Black, Blue, Purple, Red, Silver, or White."mmm dildos.

And found a pic of the spit -

Me +2
I also like the little Cuban/Brazilian/Spanish (never worked out which it is!) bar over the road, especially in the summer. The Griffin is not that kind of pub, only one was cuban, the rest eastern European.

i dont see how the bucket can be a remake on the original rights if the orignal company has released it this year

Anodized blue hubs..mmmm...hubs..O.o Looks weird, too much "me wants to be different, together with the 10 guys in line in front of me who are here for the same bike"..
Never understood the "fixie trixing" thing anyway, why not get a BMX..?
It's like driving your car with your feet, it's possible but that doesn't make it a good fucken idea..
Haha, actucally, my English is a lot better than most deaf people, thank YOU :P
