The loop doesn't really touch your foot as the webbing wraps over the edges of the loop, so it's the webbing that rests on your foot, not the loop...if that makes sense.
Unless you ride in bare feet often i think you'll be fine. :)
Not even thought about price yet as they're prototypes, so i need to test them well first to make sure i'm happy with the longevity.
