  • Cat in a Suitcase - CollegeHumor video

I posted this in the funny videos, but I know there's a big cat fanclub here, and its too cute to miss this!

  • 10 week old Silkie hen - named "Honeymoon" by my eldest daughter, no idea where it came from but it's hard to figure the workings of a 4 year old mind...

(the Grey blur is "Sally" - don't know if it's a he or she yet so it's either Sally-Ann or Salvatore, depending on whether or not it starts to hump the other chickens)

    Awesome chickens!

I had a pair of Blue Old English Game bantams but one of them died :(

  • Brill. I had a pet bantam hen called Blackie when I was wee. We had loads of other chickens but she was special. She used to just sit on my shoulder for hours, perfectly happy, and follow me around the field for hours. I still remember the satisfying 'whoomph' noise you'd get from the feathers when you'd pick her up.

  • Here's my wee dog:

I found him as a stray when he was about four months old and he'd been beaten, starved, tied up (he had no hair and marks round his throat from this) had a stab/cut wound in his shoulder, broken front toes, a broken tail, a tooth missing, an untreated skin condition which meant he was almost bald, an untreated lung infection and an untreated intestinal virus.

I got him better though and he'll be six now.

Sadly, when my girlfriend left, she took him with her. :(

    I'm sorry :(

  • I'm sorry :(

    Hi plurabelle, it's Johnny Crash.

I miss him but at least I know he's being looked after properly. :)

I know. I remember your old name, Sir Hot Dog :)

Yeah, you're right. Well done for rescuing him.

    Aha, I wasn't sure.

He turned into a really good dog (apart from being scared of everything - cats, frogs, hedgehogs, ducks, sheep, cows.)

I couldn't understand why nobody wanted him (or treated him so badly.)

It's not as if I could have kept him anyway - he wouldn't be allowed on the ship and at six, you're not really old enough to look after yourself properly. I'd rather he was with her than had to go to a new home. :)

Aye, they're often the nicest dogs you could meet. My parents always get dogs from the rescue. This is Buster. He's lovely, if a little needy. Abandoned in Norwich. Terrible hip displasia (sp?) which might have been why.

    He looks ace!

(Although I bet hip dysplasia can't be much fun - does he have that 'sideways back end' gait?)

I'd always get rescue dogs too - there's plenty of cool dogs that need homes :)

  • Have you two met on a dog forum before?

  • Have you two met on a dog forum before?

Racist; one of them will explain that, I am sure :)

I was just going to say: Get a kennel.

  • Ohhh, I love silkies! My parents used to have them. They're funny, because they look like animated feather dusters, but they take themselves Very Seriously. (A couple of ours were always picking fights with the other chickens. Clearly compensating for something.)

  • thanks Oliver

What an excellent picture. So lovely.

    Caninist.

  • Have you two met on a dogging forum before?

proof of the breakdown in society and it's sexual morality. fixie-doggers whatever next.

  • Choc labs are ace

  • Choc labs are ace

    Inordinately stupid, usually, but lovely.

  • labs are food hoovers, which is why you see so many fat ones.

  • They seem to like fruit and veg, too. Buster will peel and eat a banana. Very dextrous paws.

  • my parents last lab went mad for avocado skins and runner bean peelings. he would take the avocado skin out of the bin and bring it to you. he knew it was wrong (and would never take anything else out of the bin) but just had to have it.

  • Of all three lab colourings, chocos are suppose to be the loopiest. We grew up with goldens, my Mum & Dad are thinking of getting a choco soon. Ace!

  • Caninist.

    Felinist.

  • Felinist.

How dare you. I think he's positively underrated.
