As far as I'm concerned, the more racing, the better. And something different to the (very enjoyable) Wed night league (different events to the normal 15 lap scratch, points, devil and 20k) would be nice, even if its a once a month thing, Saturday afternoon, for example.
I would especially like a 4 lap persuit. -

Friday or Saturdays would be good, I think this is just the right time for this, would be a good idea to launch some kind of "are you the next Chris Hoy" find new sprint talent along with it?

it's mainly just to piss the endurance riders off.
but seriously, yeah. I've seen quite a few young fast twitchers that may well turn into top sprinters, if only there was support at club level.

Speaking of Bran Flakes, you could see if Kelloggs would sponsor a series. They did it for crits in the 80s, and are supporting a few other events here and there at the moment.

surely it should be "are you the next mark cavendish?"
he's the fastest sprinter in the whole wide world and wins races every week. -

yes!
are you coming tomorrow?
I did a few efforts with simon today and did a pb using 92GI so although I feel i have a lot of work to do on my pedalling (which feels a bit ragged when spinning on top of the gear) i am happy with results.
I'm wondering if it would work, given the long tradition of distance events and the fact that Reading already has a sprint league.
Rob and I have spoken about it a few times, and I recon would both be up for sorting something out, but neither of us want to miss out on the actual racing, so it would need a bunch of different people to give up a session or two to organise the 'on the night' stuff, taking cash, putting numbers against events, getting results etc.
Could have regular individual and team sprints and a kierin, plus some occasional Kilo's for the sadists.
If not, perhaps a few 'events' more like the omniums?
I wonder if anyone would actually come? Anyone think this might work as a thing to try and get going for next year? Do you need a qualified commissar to run this kind of thing?
Just thinking out loud really.
