  • ffs ed - it's ridiculous.

Now go and learn how to spell 'irony'
    fucking epic win!

  • This thread proves that high flange is so last year.

  • Cliff from Royce will not guarantee radial lacing, made that very clear!

EDIT; There was a quote from page one I was supposed to put here sorry - mucked that up!

  • Has anyone got throught o ROyce in last few weeks?

  • cliff's on vacation in august.

  • Thanks Teddy, Cliff forgot to mention that bit to me.....

  • jaseb mentioned that cliff is back on the 24th, let's hope so, i'm also waiting on hubs and bb to finish my build and I would rather have royce than Phil . Come to think of it, taking August off would be kinda nice too....

  • Haha what a thread. Great.

  • this arrived today:

    and the lifetime guarantee...

    Definitely worth quoting again.

    Teddy, a question;
Assuming you're using the vintage campagnolo pista cranks?
I'll be buying a set of the hubs and corresponding BB to go on my current build with a set of the afformentinoed cranks. It's likely to be closer to the end of the year but if you can let me know if the 109 BB gives you a proper chainline I'd appreciate it.

  • actually i'm using new record pista cranks. and it sure as hell better give me a good chainline...

  • Unexpected from you, I though you'd be rocking the vintage angle.

I'll get in contact with Cliff later in the year, I still need to talk to him about getting the hubs slotted for bladed spokes too.

that's an option when you order them. an extra twenty each hub, i think.

oh and i'm sick of all that old shit. keeps breaking... ;)

  • 20 per hub isn't too bad.

Are you a little bitter about your sherrifs?

  • as far as I know, lacing would be fine if the hubs are forged and not machined.

    Why's that?

  • Just a little reminder of that Condor/Richard James custom bike...

They don't need to be slotted for things like CX-Rays, in case you weren't aware. There's plenty of room.

  • if you can find cx-rays or similar, online for anything less than rip-off prices I will be surprised

  • Depending on the amount you need i.e. if it's not convenient to get boxes of 20, there's always the starbike shop - the people that do the weight weenies site.

  • I'm drooling at this as much as the hubs.... Damn. And it'll never be seen once it's assembled. Only you will know.

you get a shiny silver sticker with it, so you can mark your frame for interested insiders.
    yum yum

  • i've been riding bits these for a little while now. smoothest drivetrain i've ever cycled. like butta. really impressed...
