This route looks well. Are you going fixed? What's your average speed more or less?

whats the latest with this ride, I'd be interested in riding this route fixed. I have done the ride before with gears, but ended up following a busy A road most of the way. If there are people riding a nicer route, and going at a reasonable pace then I'll join.

Not fixed...single speeding it...
Not sure on how to print out the map properly either..pc illiterate..
I was thinking of heading of tomorrow...say meet outside Big Foot Bikes in Hayes at 8ish?
Or i could hold it off til Thursday/Friday...
I'm not sure what my average speed is...been riding 12/15 miles daily for the past 4/5 months so of a reasonable level of fitness..
I know the view from the top of Devils Dyke is amazing

I just saw the weather forecast here: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_weather.html
Raining in London and Brighton Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Seems like the best day of going there is Wednesday.
I wanted to go Thursday, but if it will be raining, I am giving up.

I used this route which is in the first post today and I truly recommend it. Nice and easy, quiet and practically flat :)
I know that you are going to Brighton Saturday, but if anyone wants to go once again in two or three weeks time (Thursday), I would happily go together with. I am planning to leave London around 7-8 am aiming for 5 hours ride, have a lunch in any veggie/vegan restaurant in Brighton, shop for some piercing stuff, go to the beach, have a beer or two and catch a train back to London. Anyone?
Anyway, first train back to London which you aloud to travel with bike is 7.19 pm. or before 4pm as I remember.
Was thinking of using this route

Route overview: Hayes - Botley Hill - Godstone - Crawley - Waringlid - Brighton.
A superb rural route all the way down to Brighton, taking in Devils Dyke instead of Ditchling Beacon.*
Or if somebody wants to do it and is more central based i'd be willing to get the train up to start from there...
First time riding such a distance and am a bit weary of doing it alone first time round!
I'm an unemployed bum at the minute, so can do it any day during the week or weekend really...let a homie know whatup
