I've just got in after doing some training in Richmond Park where I got into a scrap with a fucking horse rider! I was getting nicely warmed up on gentle hill, hitting about 30 (thousand) miles an hour when I notice a lady on a horse approaching the road I'm on. She wasn't on a path and the horse was just ambling along. "She'll probably just stop for 2 seconds and let me go" I thought. But no! Straight into my path causing me to have to swerve around the back of the horse. Not cool. Then she started shouting at me in a plummy voice that I should always give way to horses, its in the highway code (which is true). But still some form of communication before she rode directly across my path from nowhere would have been nice..."This horse has brakless" perhaps. Then I avoided a squirrel by an inch. Beware of richmond park folks its a fucking jungle out there!
So just wondering if anyone else has had an 'altercation' with a horse? Its a first for me.
