I guess the place to meet up would be at the gates on the top of Greenwich Park where Charlton Way meets Blackheath Ave.
If anybody wants to meet me around Lambeth/Westminster bridge for the ride over let me know.
I would appreciate meeting at westminster bridge as I have no idea how to get to greenwich park. what time? and what side of the bridge?

i'm out, due to the Jerk Chicken cook off.... I'm sure you will all have a good day though, if MA3K's Cambersands ride last year is anything to go by.

If anyone asks where the meeting up points are you're gonna have to dig out the mummy...
-
• #131
would it be silly to do this fixed? Its the only bike I have:( i did dunwich on a ss but free wheel do you think it would be possible to make this one?
i'll be at the lambeth bridge at 8.00am would be good to know if anyone is going from there?
-
• #132
I think you'll find most will be fixed. Its not a race so people will wait for you if you do have trouble on the hill's if there are any?
And Zed where are the meeting points?
-
• #133
I am doing this fixed. I have no choice.
I've done Canterbury, Cambersands and Dunwich in fixed too. I guess when there is no option, it is pointless to think much about it.
Sure will be a group of riders in fixed, always.

...yes, there will be a few 'honest' hills, here:

As hillbilly said, we are taking it easy.

I was thinking the same thing, the new frame isn't drilled for a brake but I have some forks that are. I really enjoyed the Brighton ride with hoods and brakes, but I'm keen to add another location to my places-ive-riden-to-with-no-braks list.

Cheers MA3K but for me and Tika 30 minutes are more then enough....
8.20 leaving from the Foundry?
-
• #147
the biggest climb is 97km into the ride. interesting!
jimbilly and greasy I let you two off... just this once.
-
• #148
Yeah i have two options, brakeless or fully geared. as this isn't a high tempo ride i'd rather do it fixed
My daily whip is on its last legs so i might take that for a final ride before stripping it down and putting some life back into the frame. sad times!

but at the top is a pub called 'the bowl inn' which might alleviate the stress of the climb?
