My first two were ss conversions b/c I didn't want to deal with possibly having to fix derailleurs. Won an auction with everything I needed to put together my third frame including a fixed/free wheelset. Got all the bits and discovered the rear hub was fixed/fixed. Said, "Oh, crap!" and learned how to ride fixed. Wasn't too bad since I'd been riding with fixed guys for so long and now I love it, except for toe overlap, which I'm trying to figure out if I can fix b/c it's not impossible to be toe overlap free!
