Mavic ellipse - lock ring and cog question

More than sniffing, have acquired both alloy track frame and Mavic wheels.

There's a number of factors in play to be honest. I don't want to crash and damage the Casati, I think a more modern, stiffer frame and wheels will give me a little performance increase and, finally, Nokia got my redundancy wrong and have given me an additional payment. :-)
